Shadow Earrings
These shadow earrings are based on an architectural ornament
found on a bridge in Salzburg, Austria. The art deco bridge was
actually one of the bridges the children and Julie Andrews danced
across in the movie, The Sound of Music. The earrings are made from
hand-cut sterling silver and are folded in half during making. Part of
each earring is oxidized (blackened) to highlight the shadow effect
created by the cutout form.
